It’s a good thing Nelly’s Flower Shop isn’t a place where you can buy marijuana.
You could get caught up in a whole lot of legal issues and have to be escorted off the premises.
That’s what happened last week when the business in question, a storefront on the intersection of Main and State streets, became a magnet for a marijuana bust.
Nelly’s owner, Chandlers girlfriend, and a man were arrested after police say they were selling marijuana on the premises for less than $3,000 a gram.
Police were able to track the sale of marijuana from a small number of sales to more than a dozen individuals, all of whom were arrested.
The total amount of marijuana sold in the store is not yet known.
The arrests came on the heels of the arrest of a man who is currently in the St. Louis County Jail for an unrelated marijuana charge.
He has yet to be arraigned.
A local attorney is representing Chandlees family in the matter.
It’s not known if the attorney will be retained for the Chandles family’s legal representation.
