The flower shop at the Burlington Flower Shop in the city of Boston has a unique look that draws people to its storefront.
“It is a very clean and very elegant look.
It’s very chic,” said owner Lisa Schloss.
“I have no idea what it is about the flower shop but it is very stylish.”
The shop, in the heart of downtown Boston, sells flowers, including the rare, red-colored, tulip-shaped flower called an ‘epicure’ which costs $100,000.
It also sells flowers that are not considered the same as those from the city’s most famous flower shop.
It is the first time a flower shop in the U.S. has been deemed an art piece, said Lisa Schlos.
“If we were to go back to our flower shop today, I don’t think it would be as well known,” she said.
The flower-shaped flowers are considered rare, with the most expensive being $100 million, said Schlos, who also runs a boutique shop in downtown Boston.
The shop opened in 2002 and is known for its custom-made floral bouquets, with a $2,000 price tag.
The original shop had a flower-patterned wall, and it is currently adorned with a mural that depicts a black-and-white portrait of a woman holding a flower.
The new owner said the new look was inspired by her husband’s childhood home in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
“We started off with a simple white canvas, and now we have an incredible floral room,” she told CBS Boston.
“The floral room has the most unique look we’ve ever had, and I think the new owner has taken the best of it and turned it into a beautiful shop.”
