The owner of a pet-shop in downtown Toronto says she’s getting out of her lease and wants to find a new location in the city.
“The city has become a lot less welcoming, a lot more exclusionary, in recent years,” said the owner, who asked to be identified by her first name, Rachel.
“I don’t want to live in the shadow of that.
It’s not right to be living in the shadows.” “
If I’m going to live here in Toronto, I have to be in a better place to live.
It’s not right to be living in the shadows.”
Rachel, who has two dogs and a cat, said she recently found a vacant house on a street that she’d previously owned for a year.
She said she wanted to be close to her dogs and cats, and that the city’s high crime rate made her feel unsafe.
“When I was a child, I had a lot of fear of my neighborhood.
I had the feeling that if I left, that’s what was going to happen,” Rachel said.
“So I’m thinking that if people don’t like me, they’re going to have to leave me.”
Rachel said she’d also like to open her own business, but added that she doesn’t know when that will happen.
She added that it was not easy to find an apartment in the area, and is worried about losing her place.
“It’s going from being a big, big, family-run business to just a one-person business.
There’s a lot that needs to happen for this to work.”
Rachel has been renting an apartment at 1025 Queen Street East for two years, and has been making a living by selling flowers.
“A lot of people have said that’s not my style.
But I do like to go out and do it,” Rachel told the Star.
“In Toronto, there are so many options and so many choices.
I’m doing it for myself and my family.” “
But I’m not going to put my kids through a situation like this.
I’m doing it for myself and my family.”
She said that she was looking for a place where she could live comfortably and do her job safely.
Rachel said that her pets, including two dogs named Coco and Tipper, are her main sources of income.
But the pet shop has been struggling with rent and said that in recent months, the property has been in foreclosure.
“We’re trying to get out,” she said.
“[We]’re trying our best to get the property stabilized and get the taxes paid.
We’ve tried to work with the city and the [bank] but it’s not working.”
The owner said she has heard from some of her customers who are looking for other jobs.
“Some of my customers have said they’re looking for something different and that’s something that I’d like to offer,” she told the Toronto Star.
The owner added that some of the tenants at her business have been staying on for months and are struggling to make ends meet.
“They are getting very frustrated with the situation,” she added.
“For some of them, it’s become a nightmare, because they don’t have any income, and they have to pay rent.”
Rachel added that the situation has not been easy on the staff.
“One of the staff is now on disability.
It is extremely hard for us,” she explained.
“To say that we are going to close is a little bit of an understatement.
We are very concerned.”
Rachel and her partner of more than 20 years, who is also an animal control officer, are moving into their new space, a five-storey, two-bedroom home at 23 Queen Street West.
The couple’s daughter, who works in the pet store, said that Rachel has never been a pet owner, and she is happy that Rachel will no longer have to deal with the problems associated with the pet business.
“She has a passion for animals,” the daughter said.
The daughter said that although Rachel is not a pet person, she loves pets and loves her job as a police officer.
“All she wants to do is keep her community safe, keep the animals safe,” the child said.
Rachel and the couple have been in contact with the owners of the nearby pet shop and have agreed to buy the property for the couple.
