The best places to buy roses and other flowers are in Florida, New York, California and Arizona, according to a new survey from the consumer goods giant Walmart.
The survey found that in each state, more than 80 percent of shoppers chose from more than 20 flowers retailers.
The poll also found that Florida was the most popular state for shopping for flowers, followed by California and New York.
It also found most people in each of the states chose from retailers that are in the Top 10, with five of the top 10 spots being in New York and five in California.
The poll found that most shoppers in New England and the Midwest prefer the more traditional and local offerings from the flower and petal stores, as opposed to the more urban offerings of the flower stores.
Walmart also revealed it is looking to increase its presence in some of the state’s most popular neighborhoods.
“We have a growing portfolio of local brands and products that are popular across the country,” the company said in a statement.
“We will be expanding our presence in New Orleans, Austin, Houston, Atlanta, and many other markets across the U.S.”
In other Walmart news, the company also revealed that its third-quarter earnings for the year ended March 31 were down 2.5 percent from the same quarter a year earlier, partly due to lower sales from its stores.
